Are you still working after hours and weekends at the office? Are you beginning to forget what your family even looks like? Many individuals find themselves in this predicament. Work seems to get more and more demanding with each passing day, and to stay on top of your game at work, you feel like you need to extend your working hours-you overtime. The flipside to this is that of course when you are at the office, you are away from home-away from family dinners, play time and your kids, sporting events or school plays.

Yes, it is true that when you are not able to balance your corporate career and your career as a family member, you can be confronted with quite a trouble--family misunderstanding is the most common. To avoid this to happen, you have to have an effective career planning. How great you are in the corporate arena--doing effective business negotiation, convincing sales presentations--must also be as a member of a family. This can only be done through, again, effective career planning.

So, how can you effectively balance your working career and your duty in the family? Here are some basic ideas:
First, you have to organize your time by making a systematized schedules. Mind you, one of the most common causes of failing promises and commitments is unorganized schedules. You can do this by listing all of your transactions, commitments and posting it visible to you--in your bedroom for instance. Having a pocket notes can also be helpful in organizing your schedules.

Limit your overtime. While there are times that overtime from work can not be avoided, this does not mean that all Saturdays and Sundays of the months should be allocated in your office. You have to try completing all your tasks during weekdays, if possible so that at the end of the working week, your time can be allocated to your self and family.

Last but not least, do not feel guilty about taking time with your family. Not only is this time essential to your family, you can rest assured that the time out from the working stress will make you more productive when you return to your office.

There is no such thing as a perfect career planning but you can make it almost perfect. And, by making it almost perfect, it is just enough to fulfill your duty as as a career person and as an individual who has a family waiting you to promote sarong family bonds
