The concept of affiliate marketing allows businesses to reward affiliates for bringing them customers. Affiliates can earn money one of many ways as an affiliate for a company. They can be paid by bringing a business a lead, that may or may not turn into an actual sale. Affiliates can earn a percentage based on the sales that come from leads. They may even be paid according to the sales made on a continual basis, just for bringing that person in as a customer. Offline, an affiliate would be similar to one that makes a referral, and earns a percentage of the sale.
