You can also visit the lookout platform and revolving restaurant. Many concerts take place at Olympic Park that are worth going to.

There are many day trips that you can do from Munich. A trip to the Bavarian Alps offers many exciting sights and the lakes are a treat. One of the most popular day time excursions from Munich is to Neuschwanstein Castle where you will see the gorgeous design that inspired the Matterhorn at Disneyland. On a different note, a trip, the 20 minutes out to Dachau, one of the Nazi's most notorious concentration camps, provides an important view of the darker aspect of German history.

Oktoberfest this is the biggest beer festival in the world and it is certainly worth trying to plan a trip around, particularly if you are a fan of beer. In fact, if you do plan a trip then, make sure to book your accommodation well in advance.
