Why You Might Be Crazy To Start A Home Business

Believe it or not, there are people who are not happy with their full-time job. They may be so disgruntled that they're actually considering quitting and starting a home business of their own. Before you do that let's take a look at a few reasons why you may not want to quit just yet.

First of all, everything has to be related back to finances. Walking out of a steady paycheck is not something everyone should do. If you're married is something you have to consider with your spouse before you do it.

You really need to analyze your current financial situation, including income, debt, monthly output, future expenses, and these sort of things. This alone may convince you to rethink your decision about quitting your job.

Secondly, and in many cases more importantly, what are the benefits that your current employer offers you. With the spiraling cost of health insurance, this is certainly a consideration, because now you will be required to pay for your health insurance, or possibly even go without it.

This is not a cheap proposition either! Depending on your health, or the health of your spouse, you may not even be insurable and that is another reason why company group health insurance is a true benefit.

Thirdly are you the type of person that is self disciplined enough to work out of your home? There can be distractions every day that take you away from work when you're at home.

Some people need other people to motivate them, while others are self-motivated. Generally people who are entrepreneurial in spirit are very self-motivated and do not need a boss telling them what to do. If that includes you then this is not really a consideration.

One final thing to consider, but is actually a positive, is that you can start a home business on the Internet and work around your current job. Because the Internet never sleeps, you have the opportunity to be in business even while you're still at work.

For this reason, starting a part-time home business makes sense and many people choose to do that. If you go this route you still need to have the self-discipline to work when you're at home and not at your full-time job.

You may or may not be crazy enough to start a home business. We would encourage you to not quit your job just yet, but to begin to learn how to do Internet marketing and start a home business that way on a part-time basis. Then when your income and business has grown you can re-analyze your situation and possibly go to work for yourself full time.
