How To Prevent The Causes Of Bad Breath

Bad breath is a very embarrassing condition that can leave a very bad impression on anyone you meet. Many people simply try to chew gum or use mouthwash, but those are only temporary solutions to the problem. If you have chronic bad breath, for example, those will do little to no good. You need to know the causes of this embarrassing affliction.

There are certain medical conditions, diet, habits, and other things that can be attributed as causes of poor breath, but depending on who you are and what your individual life is like, the different causes of bad breath may or may not apply to you.

Your Diet Plays A Role In Your Breath

What you put inside your body, has a dramatic affect on the smell of the breath coming out. There are certain things that you should eat on a regular basis to help ease your bad breath, such as greens like parsley, lettuce, and kale. Not only do these help improve your breath, but they are very good for your overall diet too.

You should stay away from foods that have not been properly cleaned or cooked because they can lead to stinky breath. Basically, you should be aware of the things that you put in your mouth, such as garlic and onions, as you may be able to smell them on your breath later.

Hygiene Habits Play A Part

Brushing your teeth and flossing between your teeth on a daily basis is an imperative part of curing the many causes of bad breath now and in the future. It is important to make sure that you thoroughly clean your mouth, remove any excess food particles and/or anything else from your mouth. This needs to be done at least twice a day.

The mouth is a warm, wet place that will not smell good if you have old food particles left over in your mouth and between your teeth, so thorough cleaning habits are an important part of making sure that your breath is as fresh as possible.

There are many causes of bad breath, but as long as you do not have a medical condition that is causing the bad breath you should be able to follow the above recommendations and be okay.

If you suffer from chronic odor on your breath that is caused by medication or a medical condition you need to follow the above recommendations and talk to your doctor about other possible bad breath solutions.
