How to Get Rid of Stomach Fat
Tip #1 - Eat the right foods at the right time and avoid the "starvation diet"
The first thing you need to do is to eat 5-6 smaller meals in a day. When you do this, you are eating so often you will prevent sharp spikes in your blood sugar and you will not feel hungry. The key is to plan all your meals around eating protein. High quality protein is a key factor in reducing stomach fat because it requires a large amount of energy to digest it. High quality protein choices to include in your diet are things like chicken, turkey, fish, tuna, etc.
Fruits and vegetables have a lot of nutritional value, vitamins and minerals. These will also help you get rid of stomach fat because they can fill you up but are not loaded with calories like a lot of other processed foods are.
The biggest thing you want to avoid is to try to only eat one meal per day. Only eating one meal per day is a recipe for failure because no one can permanently do this for a long period of time on sheer will power. You can keep your metabolism much higher by eating more of the right foods at the right time. This is the key to being able to get rid of stomach fat with your nutrition choices.
Tip #2 - Workout HARD!
You have to have intense workouts if you want to get rid of stomach fat as quickly as possible. Really pushing yourself when you workout will elevate your metabolism and you will still be burning calories long after you are done your workout. This is what is known as "metabolic strength training". Try this workout:
12 bodyweight squats
15 dumbbell swings
12 pushups
Do this series of exercises and do as many rounds as you can in 10 minutes. You will feel how intense this workout is if you do this!
Tip 3 - Instead of doing long, slow cardio, try doing intervals
Interval training will help you get rid of stomach fat because it will help boost your metabolism for hours after you are done working out. Interval training is different than normal cardio because it involves switching back and forth from high and low intensities throughout your workout. The short bursts of high intensity take you way out of your comfort zone and will help to increase your resting metabolic rate. Since you alternate these intensities in a very meticulous way, you will find yourself working much harder than before. 20 minutes of interval training often feels like 60 minutes of normal, same speed cardio!
