How to Clean Your Home Like a Man
I think for many men, this habit forms sometime during college. During college, most of our time is spent drinking, sleeping, and scoring chicks, which leaves very little time for cleaning, or decorating our dorm room.
Unfortunately long after college most men keep these habits. In this article I want to explore some simple ways that men can keep their bachelor pad looking good, without a maid, or a million dollars decorating budget.
The first thing you need to do is get in the habit of doing the little things that make a big difference. For one, make your bed every morning. I know I sound like your mother, but the simply one minute act of making your bed, will give your room a much neater and tidier appearance.
Second, get in the habit of always wiping down counters, tables, and sinks. The first thing women notice when they enter your home is your kitchen. Although a few crumbs on the counter, or some milk spilled on the table don't seem like a big deal to you, they state a lot about your upkeep to a potential interested woman. It says you don't take the time to care about the little things.
It is easy to just keep a box of wipes on the counter and near the table, and once you're done eating, simply pull one out of the package and do a quick wipe down. The more often you do this, the easier and quicker it will be. If you wait two weeks to clean, the more stains and grime will be harder to remove.
It is also extremely important that you make sure you keep your bathroom clean. Women will often judge a man by the way he keeps his bathroom. Is your sink filled with globs of toothpaste? Is the remains of this morning's shaving scattered around your floor and sink? Is the rim of your toilette bowl filled with pee? Does your bathroom smell like a zoo? If you answered yes to any of these questions you seriously need to reorganize your priorities. It doesn't take much time at all to keep the average bathroom clean. Surf the internet for ten minutes less a day, and your bathroom will be spotless.
Another easy tip to give off the appearance of cleanliness is to always vacuum any rugs in your pad. This is especially true if you have a dark rug that gathers hair, lint, and dirt. The simple act of vacuuming once a week will make the entire room appear much cleaner.
If you make use of these habits you will find that your apartment will be much more attractive to guests.
