Creativity Keeps People Coming Back
One way to keep individuals coming back is by updating your site on a regular basis. While this may seem like a simple task, it can mean the difference between return visitors and one-time visitors. If a web site looks dated and does not have regular updates, visitors are not enticed to come back because they will see the same thing over and over again. By having an image of the day or a saying of the week, people will want to keep coming back to see these unique attributes and it will interest them.
One concept to keep in mind when creating a web site is the overall look of your site. First it is important to make sure that the information you are providing is presented in an organized manner. If you have a link for directions to your store, you do not want to include pricing information in that section. You want to make sure that your web site is easy to navigate by visitors. The easier it is to navigate, the more likely visitors will return.
Another element to consider when creating a web site is the color scheme you choose. The colors used on a web site can mean a lot to users and affect their experience. If you choose a light colored background with light text on top, users are going to have a difficult time reading the content. In addition, certain colors can represent a different environment on the web site and feeling. Warm colors such as reds, yellows and oranges can be inviting for users and help them feel at ease and welcome, where as green and blue are considered cold colors, which can be uninviting for some. However, you can use a mix of these different colors in your color scheme to create an inviting experience for visitors.
A website's success is measured by how much traffic they receive on their particular web site. If you offer certain elements on your web site that others do not have, this increases the possibility that individuals will keep coming back. The more times an individual comes back to visit, the more likely they are to buy something or refer someone to your product or service.
Do a bit of research and find sites that you feel are interesting. Be conscious of the colors used and how the content is laid out on the pages. When you find a few sites that seem to be to your liking, use them as a template for your own.
