English language test welcomed in UK’s new immigration system
In 2007, a record 6.2 million people all over the world have registered for these exams, which will be used to certify highly skilled immigrants, particularly those candidates in science, medicine and business.
The UK's new immigration system's main elements have combined more than 80 work and study application routes into only 5 tiers. This system award points to reflect aptitude, experience, age and level of need in any given sector.
The TOEFL test, is accepted by more than 6,000 colleges and universities in 110 countries - more than three times the number of any other English-language proficiency test.
"After many decades, the English-language proficiency tests created by ETS remain the most widely used and respected tests in the world for academic and business purposes," says Executive Director for ETS Global BV in the UK, Ian Lucas.
