What defines a fair trade product?
See below for tell tale signs that a product IS fair trade:
Carries one of the fair trade logos, these logos are very common and can be found across the internet.
Use either high street retailers or if purchasing from the internet do a bit of background research to see if the seller is known for rogue trading.
If buying from online auction websites, the seller may use "fair trade" in the title of the auction but within the description they may not mention the words "fair trade" and the title may have just been used to lure people to there page.
Purchase with a credit card when buying online, this is pretty standard procedure but often goes overlooked. Credit card companies have a policy where they protect you from fraud and will refund if you get caught by a rogue trader.
To summarise, if you use your head when buying a product you are likely to buy one successfully and not get caught by a fraudster.
