San Diego Bass Fishing Explore the Waters of San Diego

One of the largest lakes found in San Diego County is the San Vicente Reservoir. It has 14 miles of shoreline and it covers almost 1,100 acres. You will find numerous bass tournaments held at this lake along with many other activities.
Lake Miramar is a great bass fishing location with quite a reputation of urban legends. Lake Cuyamaca is well-known as the best scenic lake in San Diego because it is the only real so called mountain lake found in this state. It is a small lake of only 110 acres but don't let the size fool you. It is a great place to catch smallmouth bass along with several other species of fish as well.
The bassmaster tournament lake is the Lower Otay Reservoir and it is heavily populated with bass. Lake Jennings is best known for its very large catfish but you can find many bass located here as well. Lake Morena is sometimes referred to as one of the most remote fishing locations in San Diego because it is located in the Laguna foothills but if you make your way to this lake you can enjoy some great bass fishing.
If it's big bass that you are after, then Lake Murray is where you need to be. It can be found in the middle of San Carlos and is great for fishing and many other exciting activities as well. Largemouth bass are found in the Dixon Lake which is located northeast of Escondido. It may be a small lake but it is definitely growing in popularity due to all the large bass that are being caught in these waters.
