An Australia vacation should be a trip that you remember for the rest of your life. One of the most popular places to visit on your Australia vacation is a place called Alice Springs. The town of Alice Springs itself is very tiny compared to the cities of Australia on the coast, but it has so much to see and do that it takes more than a day to explore everything. Alice Springs Desert Park is a true Australian Outback attraction, and the sunsets over the park are famous. Alice Springs also has a very popular reptile center, which you wont want to miss, especially if you have children with you on your Australia vacation. There is a historical telegraph station Reserve, and at Simpsons Gap, it is popular to rent bicycles and take a ride to enjoy the scenery. Alice Springs also is home to the National Pioneer Womens Hall of Fame. The Aralauen Centre in the cultural precinct has several galleries showing Aboriginal art from the surrounding area, and also has on display paintings from Albert Namatjira and his mentor Rex Batterbee.

While you are on your Australia vacation in Alice Springs, you wont want to miss the famed Museum of Central Australia, the Old Stuart Town Goal, and at the Alice Springs Memorial Cemetery, which is the final resting place of many of Australias famous citizens, including Olive Pink and Harold Lasseter. One of the biggest attractions in the Alice Springs area is Uluru, a giant (but gorgeous) rock. The real kicker is that it is not really very close to Alice Springs, either! However, while in Alice Springs on your Australia vacation, you can take a bus ride from there that will take you to witness one of the most beautiful sunsets on Earth from Uluru.

Somewhat nearby Alice Springs is also the Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park, Watarrka National Park, and Kings Canyon. Although these attractions are not right in Alice Springs, you should definitely make time to see all of these areas. You certainly wont regret taking the time to travel to these places, and with Alice Springs having so many incredible sights to see, you should make sure that you plan a long Australia Vacation, because you could easily spend an entire week in Alice Springs alone.
