One of the most impressive features of Granada is the Alhambra. This is a series of palaces and compounds which were built by the Nazari Dynasty in the 14th century. The hill facing the Alhambra is home to streets filled with quaint, white-washed houses with their neatly kept inner gardens. This will provide you with a day of walking throughout the maze of houses before heading back into town for lunch at one of the excellent restaurants scattered around.

The best time to go is in the spring and summer months where the Spanish sun will wake you up nice and early in your hotel room bed to start a day of relaxation and revival.
